Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God

Last night I wrote a post, tried to put up pictures and the computer froze. I think it was divine intervention. I need to post this instead.
As most of you know, Brian's job will be done and we have some major decisions to make and are feeling the weight of not knowing where God is leading. Through this time I have felt great peace and feel overwhelmed that God has grown my faith so much during these past few months that I am confident He will carry us. Brian and I have been praying with arms wide open and are resting in his hands.
Yet, we feel burdened by the next step...because we can't see it. It is like standing at the edge of a cliff with confidence God will provide a way and just not knowing if we should take that step to the left or to the right.
This weekend we were blessed by a family in church who spoke into our lives and not only prayed for us, but encouraged us to look at Christ and not at the next step. He said, "Fall more in love with Christ during this time." This spoke to my heart, but apparently God had more work to do.
That same day, in fact right during the conversation just mentioned, a friend gave me a book she had previously told me to read.
I stuck it in the diaper bag and didn't think of it again until this morning. I woke to do my devotions and decided to peak at it. WOW!!! It spoke to me and was saying the same thing... Fall more in love with God. (I will share more about the book in a minute). I began praying that my heart would be soft to what God is trying to teach me as He is obviously dropping some really big hints!
Later in the morning I am doing Bible time with our kids and using the book
"Leading Little Ones to God" the story is about how mighty God is and we need to remember that we are nothing and He deserves our praise, love, etc. At this point I am feeling that I must really be a bad listener since God is "screaming" this message to me.
This afternoon a friend calls, asks about what is to come, and shares the same bits of wisdom. "Don't think about the next step, just look to Christ and love Him and all will fall into place." Okay, Okay, Okay God I get it. I am listening and I am no longer searching for the next step.
So I have been looking more into this book "Crazy Love" and cannot wait to see how God is going to use it in my life. If you can get a copy DO IT!! I was told by another friend who is in the middle of it to read it with a journal in hand and be sure to go to the internet when he tells you to in the book. I agree!!
I hope you find a copy and I hope it impacts you the way it is impacting me.
